| Review: Prisoners are equally suspenseful and disturbing. Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, whose last film Incendies was as fascinating and disturbing, tension builds in the first chapter and did not allow for the full 153 minutes of the film. Script Aaron Guzikowskis, although the girl child abduction thriller, love all tend dollars like thriller, raises serious ethical issues. It also helps that the film has a cast of first class to work better: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Terence Howard, Melissa Leo, Maria Bello and Viola Davis. Prisoners are not fire weak, but is unlikely to feature strongly in the coming years Oscar. |
